TMS consists of tire sensors and a receiver mounted to the vehicle. The sensors make accurate pressure measurements, which are transmitted to the receiver.
All TMS sensors and receivers are specified in the datasheet:

Battery powered sensors are mounted in or on each wheel. These monitor the pressure of each tire and transmit this information by a low power radio signal.

The receiver is powered by the vehicle. It picks up the radio signals from the sensors and reports them using RS232. It can also keep a log of transmissions and generate alerts on conditions such as low pressure.
