OTR fleet management and tire monitoring are tasks made simpler with innovative and easy to use products, such as the TMS® Operator Interface. The TMS product displays pressure data for the chosen wheel tires on a vehicle and also visualises any alarm conditions which have been set.
This tire monitor system is an effective way to aid OTR fleet management, as it can ensure that issues are flagged up and noted before they cause serious problems. Used as a tire pressure monitoring system, the operator interface can help reduce problems with tires which may have led to blowouts or forced tire changes. Essentially, it is an effective OTR management tool and provides benefits which include ensuring minimal disruption to productivity and reducing the chance of having to make costly, unexpected tire replacements.
The Operator Interface gathers its data from the TMS® Receiver and comes with a 2m long cable so that it can be conveniently placed within the cabin. It is also has a backlight, to ensure the driver can see it with ease. At a compact 170x81x30mm and with a weight of just 305g, it is an easily transportable and is non intrusive. Despite its size, it is a robust tire pressure monitoring system – thanks to the extruded aluminium enclosure.

This particular tire pressure monitoring system is able to display data for up to 6 tires at any one time. The system, which is configured via TMS® Manager, is logged with a real time clock, to give effective tire analysis. Also on the product is a serial connector to allow it to be easily connected to a PC.
The Operator Interface has an audible alarm system which means that if the conditions of any tire alter dramatically, the driver will be alerted. It supports alarms to be set for high pressure, low pressure, high temperature, low sensor battery and reception timeout. By allowing the user to set audible alarms for tire pressure variables, it becomes an effective tire pressure monitoring system which ensures that potentially serious problems can be flagged up swiftly. Also, by allowing for a high temperature warning, it means that OTR fleet managers can prevent the issues that can arise from overheating.
By installing the Operator Interface in OTR vehicles, fleet managers can ensure that issues are flagged up early on all tires on a vehicle. This fleet management approach will make for more accurate reading of potential maintenance costs and issues. Use of the Operator Interface as a tire pressure monitoring system will significantly aid drivers and fleet managers in OTR companies with their reading of the performance of tires.
